What it actually took

Half a day of an editor’s time, done in 13 minutes

One 7:32 4K take. Script and brief supplied, emphasis words given, then hands off until it was done.

Made for

If the video runs on what someone says, it fits

Interview, lecture, product tour. What goes in is the same: a script and the footage. What comes out is the long cut and a vertical short.

Interviews

Interviewer and subject get their own subtitles; faces can be blurred.

Talks and explainers

With a script the subtitles are exact, and callouts stay clear of the face.

Shorts at volume

Shoot once, get the long cut and the vertical short together.

Site and product

Add stills and they drop in on the line that talks about them.

What it does for you

One day to shoot. A week to edit. That week is what we remove.

Two minutes of footage becomes a finished cut in about one. All you choose is the pace and the frame.

01

Subtitles, written for you

They land on the voice. Add your script and misheard words get fixed too.

02

Cut points, found for you

Cuts fall where sentences end. No scrubbing a timeline by hand.

03

Four editing rhythms

Straight, rapid, breathing, plain — one take, four different paces.

04

Callouts that miss the face

It finds the quiet part of the frame. Nothing lands on eyes or mouth.

05

Face blur

Four strengths, tracking the face across cuts — for people who would rather not be recognised.

06

Who is speaking

Interviewer and subject each get their own subtitle style.

07

Inserts, placed for you

Your stills land on the line that names them. If you have none, free images are fetched.

08

Two music picks, ready

Two freely licensed tracks arrive with the footage. Music ducks under speech on its own.

09

Multi-camera cutting

Several files are synced by their audio, then cut to whoever is talking.

10

Four languages

Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese — line breaks tuned to each.

11

Post from the editor

Publish to both without leaving the editor. No download-and-re-upload.

12

It never leaves your machine

Footage never leaves. No per-video fee, no render queue.

From script to cut points

A line of script becomes a cut, a subtitle, a callout

Each line is matched to where it was actually spoken, and the cut, the subtitle and the callout land on that timecode. This is the same pass the tool runs.

    The editor

Try it — every switch in the editor changes the frame

These are the same controls you get after installing. Move between the tabs and watch the frame respond.

    How it works

Drop the files in, come back to a finished cut

A seven-minute take is a finished vertical cut thirteen minutes later. Use that time to prep the next shoot.

    PANEL 01
01 · SRC Load footage and documents

Video is required; script and brief are optional. Point at a local path to skip uploading entirely.

    PANEL 02
02 · SET Choose the output

Shorts 9:16 or YouTube 16:9, a template, subtitles on or off, and the speech model.

    PANEL 03
03 · MARK Mark emphasis and inserts

Type the words to emphasise, or leave it blank and they are picked for you. Add stills, or let it fetch them.

    PANEL 04
04 · OUT Collect the cut

You get the mp4 and the edit decisions (plan.json) — tweak the timings and re-render.

    Formats

Shoot once, publish to YouTube and shorts

Crops assume a 4K 16:9 source. Smaller footage is handled by fitting the crop box to what you gave it.

Python and the speech model are prepared inside the folder during setup. Windows also fetches ffmpeg automatically; macOS installs it with Homebrew (and prints the command if you don’t have it). About 3 GB of disk.

    Questions

    Before you install

Does this replace my editor or the agency?

It takes the repeatable volume — weekly shorts, interview digests, internal training clips where the format repeats. Brand films that need real direction still need a person. Use it to clear the routine work so your editor spends time where it counts.

How do I get the key, and where does it go?

Apply for the early-bird price and we send payment details plus a single line starting with AC1. Click Licence at the top right of the editor and paste it in. The key is stored only on that machine and verified without any network call. Moving machines? Release it in the editor and paste the same key elsewhere.

Can I see the result before paying?

Yes — install and make one video without a key. No watermark and nothing held back, so you can judge it on your own footage. After that the editor asks for a key.

    Do I need a script?

No. Without one the transcript is used as-is. With one, the transcript is corrected against your sentences, which matters a lot when the material is full of technical terms.

    How long does it take?

Transcription dominates: roughly half the runtime of the take on the default model — 3–4 minutes for a 7-minute video. Edit points and rendering add another minute or two.

    Does my footage get uploaded?

No. It runs on your machine; this site only hosts the installer. The one exception is automatic image fetching, which sends the search term to a public image library.

Can the team use one machine?

Run the share launcher (share.cmd on Windows) to get a temporary public address. Anyone with the link can upload and render on that machine’s CPU, so close it when you are done.

Are the fetched images safe to publish?

Only freely licensed ones are fetched, and author, licence and source URL are written to inserts/credits.json. Credit CC BY works when you publish.

Everything you send lands in one of two lists — feature requests and bugs — and ships through auto-update. No sign-in needed, and a screenshot makes the cause far easier to find.
